Meet Courtney and her baby Alejandro, with nana Stacey
Courtney’s mam Stacey is incredibly proud and supportive of her daughter Courtney’s breastfeeding journey and seeing her become one of our Mamazing ambassadors. Stacey didn’t breastfeed her daughter as she didn’t know much about the benefits of breastfeeding at the time but has supported Courtney’s choice to breastfeed.
Courtney said, “I’ve always thought of myself as someone who listens to these kind of people who talk about this kind of thing… I’ve never thought of myself as one of them. I feel really proud of that. I’m not someone who actually thought I would breastfeed but here I am – maybe that’s something I can share with other mums.”
Courtney’s top tip
No pressure, we are all learning. “My message to other mums is, ‘we are all beginners – it’s worth sticking with it, if you can. It is a journey and can seem scary – but it is totally natural and what your body was made to do.”
