From antenatal classes to dad-friendly sessions to fun events for your little one, there’s always lots going on at our Family Hubs.

Amazing Babies

Date and time: delivered in 5-week blocks each half-term at our Family Hubs.
Location: Abingdon Family Hub, Acklam Community Hub, Grove Hill Community Hub, Hemlington Family Hub, North Ormesby Family Hub, Thorntree Family Hub, and West Middlesbrough Family Hub

Parents will be invited to the Amazing Babies sessions following their new birth visit. If you would like to find out more, contact your local Family Hub on 01642 579120.

Aqua natal classes

Date and time: Wednesdays, 3:15pm
Location: Neptune Centre (Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, TS3 7RP)
Cost: £4.25 per person

Breastfeeding support groups

Informal drop-in sessions for parents with questions about breastfeeding, or who want to meet others who are breastfeeding.

Date and time: Thursdays, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Location: Abingdon Family Hub (families can drop into the Activity Room for a social session which includes a self weighing station for parents to use. Appointments will take place in the Intervention Room – book an appointment by calling health on 0300 303 1603.)

Location: Easterside Library and Community Hub

Date and time: Tuesdays, 10am to 12pm
Location: Middlesbrough Sports Village (referral only – for feeding concerns book an appointment by calling health on 0300 303 1603.)

Date and time: Tuesdays, 10am to 11:30am
Location: West Middlesbrough Family Hub (a social drop in where there will be no scales. Come along to chat about your breastfeeding journey and share hints and tips with other parents.)

Family Focus drop in hosted by The Junction Foundation

The Junction Foundation provides practical support, information and guidance, plus a warm welcome and time to connect with other families. They can support with everyday challenges and give you a helping hand when you need it.

Leo’s Neonatal Stay and Play – The Motherhood Project

An inclusive relaxed stay and play session for parents to enjoy conversation, games, craft activities and refreshments. Suitable for children aged 0 – 18 months.

Leo’s Neonatal Tots and Tales

A six-week adventure for little ones aged 1 to 3 years, where they will explore stories through play.

For children aged 0-4 with deafness and hearing loss and their parents/carers.

Move Baby

This fun relaxed session is hosted by TeesDance and is suitable for new parents and their babies.

North East Young Dads and Lads – stay and play sessions

Date and time: First Friday of every month, 10:30am to 11:30am
